Sea of Salt

Sea of Salt

“The primordial echo of the sea within matter.”

In this work on canvas, matter becomes the absolute protagonist. The acrylic merges with coarse salt, creating a vibrant, three-dimensional surface that captures light and delivers a tactile as well as visual perception.

The composition evokes an aerial view: fragments of sea, land, and beaches intertwine in a spontaneous balance between control and chance. The blue and white tones evoke the fluidity of water and the lightness of sea foam, while the golden accents introduce a precious, almost luminous dimension, like sunlight reflecting off the surface.

Salt, a natural and unpredictable element, builds reliefs that recall ripples, deposits, traces left by the continuous movement of water. What emerges is an abstract yet deeply familiar landscape, suspended between memory and perception.

A work that invites you to slow your gaze, to lose yourself in its material details, and to rediscover, within its composition, the primordial echo of the sea.
